Do you know someone who’s having a tough time stopping drinking?

Many who try to quit drinking turn to programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous. This program does not work for everyone though and, if you don’t feel comfortable at the meetings, you won’t get much out of them. Group hugs and name tags may make you uncomfortable as you feel your anonymity will be violated intentionally or unintentionally. Another option that many consider is in-patient rehabilitation. The cost of this type of treatment can be very high and many insurance companies do not cover it. If you have found that this is not an option for you, where do you turn?
