Instead of allowing your arm to hang down while sleeping at night its much better to prop it up to decrease pain and inflammation in your frozen shoulder. The right positioning of your shoulder by keeping it in a neutral position will make for a comfortable sleeping position.
It’s also a good idea to sleep on the unaffected side as much as possible, as this will help keep the arm and shoulder from becoming compressed. Yes, I know this will be a challenging feat to pull off but if you can pull it off it will be well worth the effort. Less pain equals more sleep. Also be sure to use a small to moderate size sleeping pillow that can help you achieve the optimal sleeping position.
