Puppy Training Biting can be accomplished in a number of different ways, but using a distraction is a very effective technique. Often it is simply the boredom or just too much energy that makes a puppy want to bite. Immediately your puppy starts biting either you or the furniture you have give it a toy. You can also use food as a distraction. Develop a special way of calling your dog when it is meal times. When you find it biting on something use that call.
