Safety in the workplace is an on-going and very important issue. Almost every company has an employee safety program in place. The goals of such programs are generally: to protect their employees as well as comply with local, state and federal regulations.
While these goals may seem simple, getting employee involvement may not be so simple. Granted, there isn’t an employee out there who intentionally sets out to get hurt on the job, however there has to be some incentive for the employees to keep them motivated to promote a safe environment. Many companies offer safety bonuses when the workers go so many days without an accident.
