That just because you have a degree or years of experience in the field, that you don’t need more health training. In fact in could be argued that those with degrees and experience in the field need more training as new strategies and therapies arise. And if you are a client or are under the care of mental health professional, understanding existing therapies and how they are implemented, or even the basic training of direct care staff can allow a better insight into you own illness and how to manage it. After all, your mental health is much like your physical health: the more you work on it the stronger it becomes. And everyone can stand a little more strength.
